Our Story

Salt Christ Co

Salt Christ Co. is a small Christian clothing company inspired by the Bible verse Matthew 5:13-16 calling Christians to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We are dedicated to creating stylish, sustainable clothing that reflects the spirit of faith and adventure, embodying the love of Jesus in all aspects of our lives, serving God in whatever we do and being a salt to the earth and a light to the world.

Message from the designer

Hi my name is Haley Svendsen, I'm from San Diego, California and I am the founder and designer for Salt Christ Co.

Thank you so much for your interest in Salt Christ Co. I started this company with the hopes that it will inspire others to bring God into all that they do and worship him with any and all gifts they were given. When I was growing up, I thought the only way to serve God was to be a pastor or on the worship team and while those are amazing ways to serve God, over the past several years I realized that the way we live our lives is worship too.

We are called to be "salt to the earth" and a "light to the world" and to use our gifts to show God's love in all that we do. My favorite quote is by C.S. Lewis and it says "Don't shine so that others can see you, shine so that through you, others can see Him," and that has truly become my goal, whether in bible studies with my teammates, trying to be kind to everyone, and using my gifts and my successes to point to God and glorify him. Every passion I have, from competing in track to reading to caring for people and children to surfing to traveling has a purpose that God can use to grow his kingdom and I pray that God uses my gifts however he wants to glorify him. I hope that this inspires you to do the same.
